Wow, it's September....Where did summer go? I don't know if you feel it, but it seems like this summer flew by....but then I am over 50 now, and time is just going so fast.
We still have our blue tarp on our roof, a reminder of the storm that decided to turn Utica all topsy turvy. But we are finally on track to getting that hole in our roof fixed, now that the Engineering drawings are complete....it's a long story...
Anyway, the Tea Room is just doing fabulously! We hear nothing but positive comments! So, if you haven't checked it out, it's definitely worth it....be sure to make reservations though, as it books up quickly. We can also accommodate private parties on Tuesdays. It's the perfect place for a wedding or baby shower or a birthday luncheon or for no reason other than getting the gang together for lunch!
Yes summer has gone quickly...I am taking the labour day weekend to get away with my sister-in-law, and we chose Gananoque this year. Our Husbands go on a fishing trip every year for labour Day weekend, they have done that for 40 odd years, so we have started our own annual trip. We always stay someplace that has a spa, this year it was massages and facials....utterly Fabulous! We had dinner at the Ganaoque Inn where we are staying....Divine! Then we caught a show at the local theatre...."Bed and Breakfast"...Sensational!!! Last night we ate at a great restaurant "Reva" a must try if you are in the area. Had to share that info....but our little get-away means summer is winding down and soon the warm sunny days will be gone just as quickly as our weekend.
This little get away has refreshed me, and I am ready to embrace the seasonal change, because it means almost everything is on sale in the store to make room for the wonderful fall, and yes dare I say....CHRISTMAS, products that have just started to arrive! It also means that our fall classes will be starting up again!
So as we say goodbye to summer, it's really not so bad, it just means we get to say hello to Autumn.....(however please note that I refuse to welcome February ever ever again)!
